From the UCI World Championships Host City to the Giro d’Italia stage venue
Innsbruck – Brenner – Sterzing – Penser Joch – Sarnthein – Klobenstein – Waidbruck
The first day will lead you from the UCI World Championships 2018 Host City in one of the stage venues of this years Giro d’Italia. From Innsbruck the course of stage one heads across Patsch to the Brenner Pass. Affer arriving in Sterzing at the south end of Brenner the 16km ascent to the Penser Joch starts. After theh downhill to Sarnthein the course leads east across the Ritten into the Eisack Valley. From Waidbruck some turns head towards the Val Gardena.
